Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Viktor Carter!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck for Carter with that takedown attempt.
Carter tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
Carter has a takedown stuffed.
Jones drops Carter with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Carter looks back up at him and smiles so Jones waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Viktor Carter has been cut.
Jones will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Carter is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Jones ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Carter's jaw. Carter's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Jones does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Adam Jones!
