Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Hayes (ranked 23985 p4p, 6678 weight class) and Walter Wiener (ranked 661 p4p, 626 weight class). Walter Wiener is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mathew Hayes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Wiener!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wiener.
And Wiener responds with a good body kick, but Hayes manages to step out the way in time.
Wiener takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hayes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hayes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hayes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wiener sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hayes throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wiener counters with a body kick.
Wiener throws a body kick that misses.
Hayes takes a swing at Wiener's ribcage but misses.
Hayes lands with an overhand left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wiener keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hayes lands a left and a right that send Wiener crashing to the mat, dazed. Hayes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wiener is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hayes lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Wiener falls backwards - clearly groggy! Hayes dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mathew Hayes!
