Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Hawkins (ranked 4473 p4p, 5059 weight class) and Ivan Marcum (ranked 542 p4p, 587 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marcum fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hawkins manages to avoid it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawkins shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Marcum manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Hawkins fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hawkins dives in for a single leg takedown but Marcum sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Hawkins takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shaun Hawkins.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hawkins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
