Gallahad has chosen Go to War as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Shug Skinner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallahad dives in and grabs Skinner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Skinner pushes down on Gallahad's head and hops out.
Skinner is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Auric Gallahad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gallahad looks for a takedown but Skinner sprawls well.
Skinner throws a body shot but no joy.
Skinner has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Skinner counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Shug Skinner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Auric Gallahad.

Gallahad shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gallahad showed some decent athleticism there.
Skinner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gallahad on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gallahad is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Skinner is not content to let Gallahad control the position.
Gallahad is looking to advance position but Skinner won't allow it.

Gallahad is trying to control the action in half guard but Skinner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Skinner wants to control but Gallahad is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Gallahad wants to work for an arm triangle but Skinner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Skinner is looking to control Gallahad's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Skinner avoid being mounted?
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gallahad connects with a nice short shot to Skinner's temple.

Gallahad is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Skinner defends it well.

Gallahad seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Skinner is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
