Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yves Marchant (ranked 4321 p4p, 24283 weight class) and Cthulhu Mythos (ranked 379 p4p, 0 weight class). Marchant's entrance music is gandagana. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yves Marchant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cthulhu Mythos! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marchant looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mythos! The referee asks Marchant politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Marchant prefers to stall for the moment though. Mythos tries to get back to half guard but can't. Marchant just content to control the position. Marchant has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mythos tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marchant controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mythos looking for a sweep but Marchant has passed into full mount! Oh no! Marchant controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Marchant is looking to stand but Mythos has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Marchant controlling his opponent. Marchant's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a sustained period of stalling by Marchant. Marchant goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mythos turns into him and now he's in Marchant's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marchant has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mythos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Marchant working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mythos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mythos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mythos trying to control but Marchant is working from the bottom. Marchant has a loose triangle. Marchant has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mythos should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Marchant has tightened it up now! Mythos should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
