Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Wayne (ranked 4444 p4p, 4186 weight class) and Kim Dong (ranked 554 p4p, 536 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kim Dong was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michael Wayne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Dong! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dong takes the fight into the clinch. Dong looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Dong pulls Wayne into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wayne decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dong moves into the clinch. Dong jumps guard but Wayne stands there with Dong around his waist. Dong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Wayne has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Wayne lunges at Dong with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dong's hand. Wayne moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Dong sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wayne is defending well against a takedown attempt. Wayne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
