Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Van Der Boom (ranked 4803 p4p, 4840 weight class) and MS Dhoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Der Boom throws a lazy head kick
and Dhoni counters with a three punch combo that has Van Der Boom backing up. Van Der Boom nods at Dhoni to acknowledge the strikes.
Dhoni tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Van Der Boom slaps away a takedown attempt from Dhoni, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dhoni shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dhoni forces Van Der Boom back against the cage and clinches.

Dhoni breaks from the clinch.
Van Der Boom blocks a head kick by Dhoni.
Van Der Boom looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dhoni shoots in looking for a takedown. Van Der Boom tries to sprawl out of it but Dhoni keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Van Der Boom manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lars Van Der Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MS Dhoni.

Crunch! Van Der Boom slams his shin into Dhoni's torso.
MS Dhoni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dhoni closes the distance and pushes Van Der Boom back into the cage.

Dhoni pulls Van Der Boom into guard.
Dhoni has his hands on Van Der Boom's head, controlling the position.

Dhoni is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Van Der Boom presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Van Der Boom tries to circle away but Dhoni has him pinned against the cage.
Van Der Boom prevents the takedown attempt.

Dhoni ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dhoni no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Dhoni pulls Van Der Boom in close to his closed guard and prevents Van Der Boom from doing any damage or advancing position.
Dhoni looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Van Der Boom is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dhoni has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Van Der Boom is looking to defend but Dhoni has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Van Der Boom! Dhoni pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Van Der Boom taps out and this one is all over!
