Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jobber Joe (ranked 617 p4p, 1151 weight class) and Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 38 p4p, 74 weight class). Jobber Joe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jobber Joe! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Takeshi Yuudai! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe stalks Yuudai and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Yuudai's face. Yuudai staggers backwards, shaken. Joe misses with a wild body shot. Joe tries to keep at a distance but Yuudai has taken the fight into the clinch. Yuudai tries to pull guard but Joe won't allow it.
Yuudai tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Joe just stands there and leans against the cage. Yuudai fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jobber Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takeshi Yuudai. Yuudai pulls guard. Joe has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Joe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Yuudai had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Joe defends it easily. Joe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yuudai has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joe has managed to get both his arms back between Yuudai's legs - danger averted. Joe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Joe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yuudai looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Joe wants to pass the guard but Yuudai is keeping the position. Yuudai can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Joe controls the pace. Yuudai trying to keep a closed guard but Joe is proving a slippery customer.
Joe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yuudai on the ground. Yuudai is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Joe is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yuudai keeping full guard, as Joe tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yuudai being controlled here, momentarily. Yuudai managing to control the position. Joe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yuudai has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joe has managed to get both his arms back between Yuudai's legs - danger averted. Yuudai keeping full guard, as Joe tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe's corner is telling him to maintain position. Yuudai looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Joe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Yuudai is controlling Joe's posture. Yuudai is continuing to stall.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Yuudai is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Yuudai is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Joe slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Yuudai working for a triangle but Joe defends it easily.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Joe wants to control from the top but Yuudai keeps moving. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Takeshi Yuudai dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Yuudai shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Joe sprawls well. Joe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yuudai gets slowly back to his feet. Joe connects with a crisp jab. Joe lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Yuudai at a distance.
Yuudai shoots in and bounces Joe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Yuudai pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Joe is keeping the position for now. Yuudai trying to control the position from guard on top but Joe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yuudai slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yuudai postures up.
Yuudai is fighting to break Joe's control of his arms but Joe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Joe looking for a sweep. Not yet Joe, not yet. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Joe being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Joe works the jab nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Joe lands a two punch combo.
Yuudai shoots for a takedown but Joe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Yuudai is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Joe. Jobber Joe is winning the standup battle so far. Yuudai showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Joe.
Yuudai fails with a takedown attempt. Jobber Joe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takeshi Yuudai. Joe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Takeshi Yuudai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yuudai tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Joe swivels and escapes. Joe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Yuudai misses with a takedown attempt and Joe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Joe lands a right hook to the body.
Jobber Joe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Joe ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Joe lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Joe catches Yuudai with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Yuudai moves to clinch but Joe breaks away and Yuudai takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Yuudai is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe connects with a nice looking jab.
Yuudai is still on wobbly legs! Can Joe finish him? Yuudai shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Joe but Joe pushes him off and we're back to square one. Yuudai seems to have recovered his senses. Yuudai takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Joe connects with a nice looking jab.
Joe misses the shot to the body. Yuudai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Joe pinned against the cage. Joe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Joe listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Joe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Yuudai's head backwards. Yuudai misses with a takedown attempt and Joe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Joe connects with a right hand. Yuudai shakes it off. Joe scores with a jab to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yuudai shoots in for a takedown but Joe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Joe swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Joe smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Joe fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Joe with a jab. Yuudai drops his hands for a split second and Joe immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Yuudai face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Joe follows up with a right hand that knocks Yuudai into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
