Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Paul OConnell (ranked 2824 p4p, 24286 weight class) and Skipper Eureka (ranked 331 p4p, 714 weight class). On his way into the ring it seems that Paul OConnell has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Paul OConnell seems to be OK! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eureka misses with a wild combination.
OConnell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Eureka scores with a nice head shot.
Eureka avoids the head kick by OConnell.
OConnell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
OConnell misses with a kick to the body.

OConnell has managed to clinch.
We've been informed that Eureka has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Eureka has had enough of the clinch but OConnell keeps him there for the moment.
Still in the clinch, OConnell scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
OConnell tries to work over Eureka's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Eureka is looking to control OConnell's arms but OConnell gets an underhook and turns him. Now Eureka has his back to the ropes.
OConnell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Eureka on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
OConnell misses with a hook to the ribs.
Eureka tries to stall but OConnell uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Knees in the clinch landing for OConnell.
A frustrated look appears on Eureka's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Eureka is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Eureka takes a knee right on the jaw!

It looks like Skipper Eureka has been cut.
Eureka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Eureka blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
OConnell misses with a hook to the ribs.
Eureka on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
OConnell lands a shoulder strike.

OConnell blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Eureka is trying to push OConnell away but OConnell has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
OConnell tries a body shot but Eureka blocks it.
OConnell lands a left hand that snaps the head of Eureka backwards.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
OConnell lands a body punch in the clinch.

OConnell lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Eureka backwards.
Eureka is trying to stall.

OConnell lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Eureka or not.
Eureka is looking to break free of the clinch but OConnell has double underhooks.

OConnell lands an elbow inside.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Skipper Eureka's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

OConnell throws a body shot but no joy.
Eureka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
OConnell lands a body shot.
OConnell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Eureka can do to turn this around?
OConnell displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

That has opened up Skipper Eureka's cut even more.
OConnell lands a jab to Eureka's midsection.
Eureka scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

OConnell staggers Eureka with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Eureka looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!

Eureka is rocked!

The cut above Skipper Eureka's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

OConnell moves into the clinch.
Eureka has had enough of the clinch but OConnell keeps him there for the moment.
A right hook to the body lands for OConnell.
OConnell lands with a short punch from the clinch.
OConnell creates a bit of distance and cracks Eureka with a big uppercut! Eureka goes down! The referee pushes OConnell away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Eureka make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! OConnell takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Paul OConnell!
A relieved looking Paul OConnell thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
