Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Mateusz Biernat (ranked 2838 p4p, 2520 weight class) and Mateusz Biernat (ranked 351 p4p, 311 weight class). Fighter A comes to the ring accompanied by Ballroom Blitz. Fighter B has chosen Monsters as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 22 - 1, fighting out of London, Mateusz Biernat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 25 - 1, fighting out of London, Mateusz Biernat! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter B rushes Fighter A and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. With the fighters up against the ropes, Fighter A throws an elbow but misses. Fighter A definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Fighter B wants to get back to striking at distance but Fighter A won't allow it.
Fighter B breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fighter A moves into the clinch successfully.

Fighter B throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fighter A moves out of range as Fighter B strikes. Fighter A drives through and clinches with Fighter B against the ropes.

Fighter A tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fighter B's elbow. Fighter A tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Fighter A lands a nice elbow. A frustrated look appears on Fighter B's face as he tries to break the clinch. Fighter A pushes off an throws an elbow but Fighter B leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes. Fighter A creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Fighter B breaks from the clinch.
A shot to the liver by Fighter B. Beautiful body shot. This has been an exciting period of action! The fight moves into the clinch position. Fighter A breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

It looks like Mateusz Biernat has been cut. Fighter B keeps the fight on the outside. Fighter A avoids the head kick by Fighter B.
Fighter B closes the distance and lands a one-two. Fighter B closes the distance and pushes Fighter A back into the ropes. Fighter A lands a damaging elbow. Fighter A pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fighter B has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Fighter A tries to clinch up but Fighter B circles away and keeps his distance. Fighter A gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Fighter A lands a nice elbow.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fighter A looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Fighter A has taken the fight to the clinch.

Fighter A is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Fighter A tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fighter B's elbow. Fighter B is trying to force a seperation but Fighter A has the dominant position. Fighter B tries to break free but Fighter A pushes him back against the ropes. Fighter B manages to break the clinch.
Fighter A tries to close the distance and clinch but Fighter B swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fighter B tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fighter B is looking to clinch but Fighter A is avoiding it.
Fighter B throws a right and a left that Fighter A avoids nicely. Fighter A throws a big counter combination but Fighter B scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fighter A has closed the distance and engaged Fighter B in a clinch.

The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. Fighter B stalks Fighter A and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fighter A's face. Fighter A staggers backwards, shaken. Fighter A tries to clinch but Fighter B is having none of it. Fighter A closes the distance and clinches. Fighter B tries to break the clinch but Fighter A is controlling the position. Fighter B wants to get back to striking at distance but Fighter A won't allow it.

Fighter B throws a sloppy head kick and Fighter A moves out of range easily. Fighter B tries to land a front kick but Fighter A steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Fighter B misses with a two punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter B misses with a double jab.
Fighter A throws a big counter combination but Fighter B scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Fighter B has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fighter A lands a head kick that bluckles Fighter B and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Fighter A no doubt looking to push for a finish! Mateusz Biernat seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fighter A tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fighter B throws a series of punches but Fighter A moves out of range. Fighter A pushes Fighter B up against the ropes in a clinch. Mateusz Biernat has scored more points in the clinch so far. Fighter A breaks from the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mateusz Biernat will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Despite the aggression on Fighter B's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Fighter B tries to bum rush Fighter A with a series of wild strikes but Fighter A uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fighter B throws a body kick that misses. Fighter A went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Fighter A wants to clinch up but Fighter B keeps it at a distance. Fighter B throws out a counter right but Fighter A avoids it with no problem. Fighter A fails in his attempt to clinch. Fighter A takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Fighter A doesn't manage to clinch there - Fighter B circles away.
Mateusz Biernat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fighter A tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Fighter B manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Fighter A wants to clinch up but Fighter B keeps it at a distance. Fighter A tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Fighter B lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mateusz Biernat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fighter A moves in looking to clinch but Fighter B pushes him off. A punch combination from Fighter B misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Mateusz Biernat comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
