The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dyson lands a head kick!
Span ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dyson moves away.
Dyson lands a jab-cross combination.
Span takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Span throws a leg kick that misses.
Span looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Span misses with a two punch combination.
Span looks to land a combination but Dyson avoids it well.
Dyson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Span.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dyson throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Span's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Dyson dives in looking to finish as Span flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Dyson's strikes! Dyson is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Span's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Span was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
