Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roel Yomero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Williams!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Yomero tenderised Williams's leg. Williams is trying to keep his angry face on.
Yomero scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like James Williams has been cut.
Williams fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yomero avoids it really well and circles away.
Yomero looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Both fighters circling a little - Williams finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yomero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat.
Williams lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Yomero throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Yomero looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Williams plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Williams keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Williams lands a nice hook to Yomero's body. Yomero takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Yomero tries to work over Williams's front leg with a kick but Williams checks it.
Williams tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Williams fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Yomero gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Yomero misses with a few strikes there.
Williams lands a nice looking body shot.
Williams throws a sloppy head kick and Yomero moves out of range easily.
Yomero looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Williams fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Yomero.
Yomero pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Yomero takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Williams drops back looking for a leg! Yomero is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Yomero manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Yomero's guard.

Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Yomero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yomero is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Yomero looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Yomero looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Yomero keeping full guard, as Williams tries to pass.
Williams sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Yomero gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Williams is looking for a triangle but Yomero pushes his legs off easily.
Williams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yomero's guard.

Williams throws a big elbow that misses.

Yomero working for a triangle but Williams defends it easily.
Williams stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yomero swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Yomero had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Williams defends it easily.

Yomero is looking for a triangle here but Williams uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Roel Yomero will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on James Williams's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Yomero stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yomero wants it to stay on the feet.

Williams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yomero on his heels. He'll look to pass Yomero's guard now, I'm sure.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Yomero is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yomero controls the pace.

Yomero sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Williams's guard.

Williams manages to get to full guard.
Yomero is working Williams over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Williams looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Yomero lands a couple of elbows.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Yomero's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Yomero slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Yomero connects with a couple of short punches.
Yomero loads up on a big left hand. Williams felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Yomero looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Williams can't hide his disappointment, as Yomero celebrates the victory.
