Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Hotspot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Rush!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hotspot walks into a left hand.
Hotspot dodges the punch combination from Rush.
Hotspot is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hotspot walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hotspot dives in for a single leg takedown but Rush sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
I was talking to Hotspot's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Hotspot drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rush pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rush darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hotspot shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rush but Rush pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mr Hotspot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rush lands a jab.
Rush tests Hotspot's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hotspot is rocked!
Rush connects with a looping right hand.
Oh Hotspot is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rob Rush is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hotspot shoots for a takedown but Rush saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hotspot seems to have got his legs back now.
Rush throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rush stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rush with a nice cross.
Hotspot has a takedown stuffed.
Hotspot fails with the takedown.
Rush drops Hotspot with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Hotspot! Rush dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Rush!
