Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Za Beast (ranked 3677 p4p, 3460 weight class) and Zoo Six (ranked 524 p4p, 502 weight class). Zoo Six told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Za Beast! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zoo Six! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Six lands but Beast takes it in his stride. Beast clinches up with Six and pushes him back against the cage. Six throws a head punch that misses. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Six. Six breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Six throws a combination that misses and Beast counters with a shoot takedown. Six fights it but they end up in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Six can do anything to dispel that myth. Beast's corner is telling him to maintain position. Six keeping moving, preventing Beast from controlling successfully. Beast stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Six swivels though and keeps the full guard. Beast throwing strikes but missing. We've been hearing that Beast has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beast looking to pass the guard. Six preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beast throwing strikes from guard but Six blocks nicely. Beast prevents Six from getting back to his feet. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Beast breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Six throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Six connects with a body shot. Six throws a leg kick so Beast counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beast slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Beast connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Six some visible discomfort.
Beast thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Six is looking to reverse the position. Beast lands a decent elbow from side control. Beast is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Six has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Six's face as Beast controls the position. Beast tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Beast sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Six is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Beast works to advance to full mount. Six defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Beast is in the full mount, landing strikes. Beast lands a heavy elbow. Beast scoring with strikes but Six is staying in there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Six keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Beast with good strikes from the mount here! Beast looking to finish Six with some ground and pound. This is bad for Six! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Six gets back to half guard. Beast is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Six doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Beast. Ground and pound from Beast. Beast seems to be looking for submissions.

Za Beast dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Beast tries to clinch up. Six throws a series of punches but Beast avoids them all with ease. Beast changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. No joy there for Six, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Beast enables Six to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Beast manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Za Beast overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Six stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Beast swivels though and keeps the full guard. Beast is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Six can do to turn this around? Six looking to sit in guard and control but Beast gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Beast throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Beast stopping the sweep attempt from Six. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beast distracts Six with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Beast scoring with punches to the head and body. Our spies down at at SISU Fight gym inform us that Six has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Beast has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beast accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Za Beast dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Six displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Zoo Six seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Six fails with a takedown attempt. Beast tries to counter with a takedown but Six is quick to defend against it. Six misses with the combination.

Beast wants to take a breather but Six manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Beast. Six wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

And that's the end of the fight! Za Beast showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Beast, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
