Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Bettin (ranked 3940 p4p, 3353 weight class) and Leonardo Nascimento (ranked 511 p4p, 453 weight class). Nascimento is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jiu-Jitsu, Arte Suave Milenar. . Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bettin stuffs the takedown attempt from Nascimento. Nascimento gets slowly back to his feet.
Bettin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bettin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Leonardo Nascimento has been cut.
Bettin looks to land a combination but Nascimento avoids it well.

Nascimento fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bettin, pushing him back against the cage.

Bettin breaks from the clinch.

Bettin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nascimento shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bettin defends it nicely.

Nascimento is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nascimento is trying to control the position but Bettin postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bettin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bettin wants to stand but Nascimento has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bettin is looking to work some ground and pound but Nascimento has wrist control.

Nascimento is pulling down on Bettin's head. It's preventing any offense from Bettin, at least for the moment.

Nascimento looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Bettin is defending well. Nascimento quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Bettin has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Nascimento celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
