Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xandao Couceiro (ranked 5846 p4p, 4096 weight class) and Tubby Steed (ranked 580 p4p, 470 weight class). Tubby Steed will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xandao Couceiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tubby Steed! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steed lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Couceiro doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Steed throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Steed scores with a three punch combo!
Tubby Steed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Steed throws a right hand that Couceiro ducks under and follows up with a left that Couceiro also avoids with ease. Couceiro dives in and scores a takedown into Steed's guard. Couceiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steed swivels though and keeps the full guard. Couceiro is standing up over Steed. Steed looks to escape but Couceiro dives into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steed seems a little lost for a moment, as Couceiro dominates the positioning. Couceiro goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Steed rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Couceiro's guard! Nice work there by Steed! Steed gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Couceiro swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Couceiro shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Steed makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
That's one minute gone in the round. Steed lands a nice leg kick that just misses Couceiro's sensitive parts. Couceiro scores with a takedown into Steed's guard. Couceiro won't allow Steed to get back to his feet. Steed is wriggling around but Couceiro manages to pass to half guard.
Couceiro trying to control the pace. Couceiro trying to mount his opponent but Steed defends it. Couceiro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Steed sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Couceiro wants to pass the guard but Steed is defending well. Couceiro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Couceiro perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Couceiro stops Steed from getting back to his feet.
Couceiro controlling the action here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Couceiro stops Steed from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Couceiro in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steed is trying to stand.
Steed is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Couceiro uses his free foot to push down on Steed's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Steed. Steed is trying to stand. Couceiro working for a guillotine from mount but Steed is in no mood to give up. Steed is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Couceiro has hold of Steed's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Steed manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Steed has given up his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Couceiro is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Steed knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Steed for a finish. Steed is trying to stand back up. Couceiro looking for the RNC. Couceiro working for the choke. Couceiro is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Steed has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Couceiro has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Steed taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Couceiro doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Xandao Couceiro!
