Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sone Fujimaro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Sagan!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fujimaro cracks Sagan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've been informed that Sagan has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Sagan misses with a takedown
and Fujimaro counters with a nice uppercut.
Fujimaro moves into the clinch.
Sagan is trying to break free.
Sagan trying to control the position but instead, Fujimaro has worked for underhooks and has pushed Sagan into the cage.
Still in the clinch, Fujimaro scores with a nice short uppercut.
Sagan is rocked!
Fujimaro lands with a left to the head.
Sagan is still on wobbly legs! Can Fujimaro finish him?
Fujimaro creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Sagan with a big uppercut! Sagan tries to clinch up but Fujimaro pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Sagan to the mat! Sagan covers up and Fujimaro unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sone Fujimaro!
After winning the bout, Sone Fujimaro thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
