Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uncle Abner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan Klauss!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klauss slips a straight right by Abner.
Klauss avoids the body shot from Abner.
Abner scores with a leg kick.
Abner connects with a leg kick.
Klauss throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abner.
Klauss throws a right and a left that both miss.
Abner throws a head kick that misses.
Abner uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Klauss.
Abner throws a quick counter head kick but Klauss was just out of range.
A head kick misses from Abner.
Abner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Klauss moves away.
Abner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Klauss misses with a straight right.
Klauss slips a jab and a cross from Abner.
Jan Klauss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Klauss bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Abner's head backwards.
It looks like Uncle Abner has been cut.
Abner avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Klauss.
Abner fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Klauss.
Abner slips under a jab.
Abner dodges the punch combination from Klauss.
Klauss feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Abners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Klauss throws an off balance right hand
and Abner counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The crowd cheers as Abner lands an impressive looking overhand right. Klauss doesn't seem phased though.
Klauss swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Abner misses with a double jab.
Abner throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Klauss.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Klauss throws a series of punches but Abner moves out of range.
As Klauss looks to move away, Abner throws a big counter combo but Klauss just gets out of the way.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Klauss closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Klauss avoids the body shot from Abner.
Klauss throws a series of strikes that have Abner backpedaling.
Abner is rocked!
Uncle Abner's cut is getting worse.
Nice body punch from Abner.
A punch combination from Abner misses.
A combination from Abner does no damage.
Abner looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Abner throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Oooooh!!! Abner has knocked Klauss down with a huge combo! Abner steps away and waves a wobbly Klauss back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Klauss is rocked!
It looks like Jan Klauss has been cut.
Klauss looks winded!
Abner changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Klauss is still on wobbly legs! Can Abner finish him?
A thudding body kick lands there by Abner!
Abner ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Abner lands with a big right hook that stumbles Klauss - he's out on his feet here! Abner follows up with another monster hook that separates Klauss from consciousness! Klauss falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Abner stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Uncle Abner!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Uncle Abner waved his t-shirt featuring Glomco Nutrition 's logo in front of the cameras.
