Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abi Algiorno (ranked 4360 p4p, 4234 weight class) and Eddie Bravo (ranked 488 p4p, 472 weight class). The key to victory for Abi Algiorno has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Abi Algiorno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eddie Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Algiorno throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
We've been hearing reports that Algiorno has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Algiorno misses with a head kick.
Bravo's coach down at Mapinguari Guerreiro was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bravo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Algiorno tries to close the distance and clinch but Bravo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bravo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Algiorno defends it well.
Algiorno throws a half hearted mid kick.
Algiorno misses with a low kick.
And Bravo tries to counter it with a takedown but Algiorno pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Abi Algiorno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Algiorno lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bravo keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bravo shoots in but no luck this time.
Algiorno attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Bravo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bravo checks a leg kick nicely.
Bravo feints the counter takedown.
Algiorno fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Algiorno tries to land a leg kick but Bravo saw it coming and moves away.
Bravo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Algiorno defends it well.
Algiorno throws a left and a right that both miss

and Bravo counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Algiorno!

Bravo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Algiorno has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bravo tries for a kimura but Algiorno is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bravo throws an elbow but Algiorno slips to the side and avoids it well.

Bravo has hold of Algiorno's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Algiorno tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bravo cranks the arm and Algiorno screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Algiorno, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Eddie Bravo!
