Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kick Boxer Jr (ranked 1302 p4p, 2931 weight class) and Blackout Mane (ranked 174 p4p, 357 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kick Boxer Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Blackout Mane!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mane looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Boxer Jr!

Mane is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Boxer Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mane wants to control but Boxer Jr is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mane is trying to get an arm triangle but Boxer Jr is defending well.

Mane is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boxer Jr has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mane working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Boxer Jr wants to control but Mane postures up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Mane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mane trying to control the action but Boxer Jr is working from the bottom.
Boxer Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mane on the ground.
Boxer Jr regains half guard there - taking advantage of Mane's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Mane tries to pass to full mount but Boxer Jr defends it.

Mane has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Boxer Jr gets back to half guard.
Boxer Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boxer Jr tries to get out of the position.
Mane is looking to take a break and control but Boxer Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mane is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Mane seems to be looking for submissions.

Mane is trying to work for a kimura but Boxer Jr is defending well.
Mane is looking to advance position but Boxer Jr won't allow it.

Mane is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boxer Jr is just riding it out for now. Mane eventually gives up the hold.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Boxer Jr throws a body punch but Mane moves out of range.
Boxer Jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Donk. Mane catches Boxer Jr right on the button with a cross.
Good exchange - Boxer Jr coming out on top.
Nice sprawl there from Boxer Jr as Mane shoots in.
Boxer Jr cracks Mane with a good jab.
Boxer Jr circles away from the clinch attempt.
A swing and a miss from Boxer Jr.
Boxer Jr misses with a looping right.
Mane swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Mane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Boxer Jr throws a looping overhand right but Mane ducks down to avoid it.
Mane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boxer Jr misses with an uppercut. Mane saw that one coming.
Boxer Jr misses with a body shot.
Mane is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Boxer Jr drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A jab from Boxer Jr finds it's way through Mane's defenses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mane wants to work for an arm triangle but Boxer Jr is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Mane trying to control the pace.
Mane is trying to control. Boxer Jr wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Mane is working for a submission of some sort.

Mane seems to be working for a kimura but Boxer Jr defends the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boxer Jr moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Mane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Boxer Jr throws a nice looking combination but Mane bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mane displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boxer Jr throws out the jab.
Kick Boxer Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mane is looking to clinch.
Boxer Jr misses with a jab, cross combination.
It seemed like Mane was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kick Boxer Jr will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Mane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boxer Jr circles away quickly and effectively.

Mane uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Boxer Jr.
Boxer Jr scores with a shot to the body.
Boxer Jr just misses with a punch to the body.
Boxer Jr stuffs the takedown.

Boxer Jr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Mane looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Mane has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mane might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Boxer Jr haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mane is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mane tries to pass the half guard into mount. Boxer Jr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Mane works his foot free and advances to mount.

Boxer Jr is in all sorts of trouble here.

Mane is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Boxer Jr has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Mane wants to control the pace but Boxer Jr is squirming around nicely.
Blackout Mane has got the better of the ground game so far.

Mane jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Boxer Jr is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Boxer Jr and Mane has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mane swings around for an armbar but Boxer Jr sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mane's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Blackout Mane.
I think Mane has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
