Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tristan James (ranked 4963 p4p, 4754 weight class) and Diego Aguero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguero shoots in and drives through. James sprawls well.
Tristan James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

James moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Diego Aguero has been cut.
James shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Aguero as he avoids it easily.

James is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Aguero asserts his dominance and retains side control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Aguero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

James really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Aguero has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by James after a bit of a struggle.

As Aguero looks to move away, James throws a big counter combo but Aguero just gets out of the way.

James closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aguero circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Aguero must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Aguero feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
James can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aguero controls the pace.
Let's hope that Aguero has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Aguero has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
