Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raminus Polus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Polus rushes Brooks and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Polus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Polus is looking for a kimura but Brooks is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Polus to get the leverage.

Polus is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brooks sees it coming and defends easily.

Brooks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Polus is working away from the top position though.

Polus is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brooks is just riding it out for now. Polus eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are battling for position here. Brooks manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brooks got a little sloppy there for a moment and Polus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brooks has managed to get both his arms back between Polus's legs - danger averted.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Polus throws a shot from downtown. Brooks moves away and avoids it.
Polus fails with an attempt to clinch.
Polus avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Brooks swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Brooks dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Polus. That did some damage!
