Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray Lawris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dusty Wills!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawris defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wills.
Lawris throwing a counter right hand but Wills manages to avoid it.
Wills looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wills shoots for a takedown but Lawris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wills tries to clinch up
and Lawris counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wills won't be happy with that.
Wills is rocked!
Lawris decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Wills swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lawris is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Wills.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wills wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wills fails with the takedown.
Ray Lawris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dusty Wills.
Wills shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lawris counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lawris.
Lawris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wills tries to clinch
and Lawris counters by gaining double undehooks. He picks up Wills and carries him across to his own corner. OH, that's a monster slam and Wills is out cold! A brutal end to the fight and credit to Lawris for not following up with any more shots. He recognised that Wills was out. Good sportsmanship.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Ray Lawris!
