Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Beta Knox (ranked 1010 p4p, 1038 weight class) and Bruce Chang (ranked 135 p4p, 141 weight class). Knox comes to the cage accompanied by Anthrax | Fight Em Till You Can't. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beta Knox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Chang! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chang lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Chang throws a combination that misses and Knox counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Knox missing with a left hand there. Chang was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Knox swings for the body but Chang moves out of range.
Chang throws out a powerful jab. Knox pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Knox looks to land a left hand but Chang moved out of range nicely. Knox sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Chang connects with a crisp jab. Chang avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Chang lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Knox has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Knox looks to throw the jab but Chang is out of range. Knox throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chang throws a leg kick and Knox counters with a stiff right hand. Chang stuffs the takedown attempt from Knox. Knox gets slowly back to his feet. Chang moves into range and clinches up with Knox.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chang lands a right hand that snaps the head of Knox backwards. Knox breaks from the clinch.
Bruce Chang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Knox throws a shot from downtown. Chang moves away and avoids it. Chang throws a jab when Knox was well out of range. Chang avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Knox fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chang avoids it really well and circles away. Chang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. An attempted straight right counter from Knox misses the target. Knox dips to his left and cracks Chang with an uppercut! Chang's corner calls for a 1-2. Chang obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Beta Knox has been cut. Chang fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Knox, pushing him back against the cage. Knox taking a breather. Chang lands with a short head shot on the inside. Knox manages to break the clinch.
Chang gets in close and instigates a clinch. Knox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chang throws a jab when Knox was well out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knox throws the left hand but Chang avoids the punch easily. Chang throws a jab when Knox was well out of range. Knox throws a jab but it's blocked by Chang. Chang clinches with his opponent.

Knox uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chang. Knox with a nice cross. Chang has Knox up against the cage in a clinch.
Chang pushes Knox back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Chang lands with a right to the head. Knox can't break the clinch.
Knox is trying to force a seperation but Chang has the dominant position. Knox has had enough of the clinch but Chang keeps him there for the moment. Knox wants to break the clinch but can't.
Chang scores with an uppercut up the middle. Chang has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Knox is trying to keep an underhook but Chang manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chang is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Knox reverses the position - he's now on top in Chang's guard. Chang is controlling Knox's posture. Knox trying to control the position from guard on top but Chang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knox postures up.
Chang is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Knox is aware though and is defending well. Chang keeping moving, preventing Knox from controlling successfully. Knox scoring with some ground and pound. Chang is looking for a triangle here but Knox uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knox scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Chang to see if he's OK. Knox lands a few punches from side control. Knox scoring with punches from side control. Knox wants to control but Chang is keeping him busy. Chang gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Chang is not content to let Knox control the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bruce Chang dominated that round. The cut man is working on Beta Knox's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Knox throws a body punch but Chang moves out of range. Knox misses with a jab to the body
and Chang counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Chang swings and misses with a shot to the body and Chang takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Chang uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Knox. Knox dives in for a single leg takedown but Chang sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Knox tries to circle away but Chang has him pinned against the cage. Knox has Chang pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Chang manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Knox manages to break the clinch.
Chang has managed to clinch.
Chang lands a takedown into guard.
Chang works a leg free and moves into half guard. Chang is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Knox defends it well. Chang wants to work for an arm triangle but Knox is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chang passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Knox! Chang moves to the back position. Well, with Chang on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Knox is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Knox tries to roll but Chang sticks to his back.
Chang avoiding Knox 's attempts to control his hands. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chang throwing sloppy strikes. Chang working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Knox is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Chang has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Knox taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bruce Chang! After the big win, Bruce Chang made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Conviction and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
