And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; James McGuire!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Phil Schofield.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

McGuire tries to keep at a distance but Sledgehammer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sledgehammer is breathing heavily.

McGuire working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sledgehammer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sledgehammer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McGuire escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sledgehammer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sledgehammer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

McGuire has his foot on Sledgehammer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sledgehammer works his way back into a safe position though.

McGuire working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sledgehammer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but McGuire is tightening it up a little... Sledgehammer has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Sledgehammer reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Sledgehammer taps out! Nice BJJ there by McGuire!
