Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Kerr has Testyfives up against the cage in a clinch.
Kerr tries to score a body lock takedown but Testyfives shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kerr is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Testyfives pulls him back up using the underhooks. Kerr gets a trip takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Testyfives (0) vs (2) Kerr Kerr passes to side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Testyfives (0) vs (5) Kerr Kerr is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Testyfives's shoulder. That is not cool. Testyfives is looking to reverse the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Testyfives seems a little lost for a moment, as Kerr dominates the positioning. Testyfives tries to buck Kerr off but Kerr is having none of it. Kerr takes a little break here. Testyfives wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's one minute gone in the round. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kerr working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Kerr's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Testyfives wants to control but Kerr postures up. Testyfives is letting Kerr control him for a moment. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Testyfives is looking to reverse the position. Testyfives struggling a bit here. Testyfives is being controlled here. It looks like Kerr might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Kerr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Testyfives tries to buck Kerr off but Kerr is having none of it. Kerr happy to just control the position for now. Testyfives is trying to control Kerr's posture but Kerr avoids it.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kerr takes a little break here. Testyfives wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
