Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kip York (ranked 24511 p4p, 6662 weight class) and Hatake Kakashi (ranked 537 p4p, 480 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kip York! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hatake Kakashi! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Kakashi. Kakashi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. York wants to get back to his feet. York actively working from the bottom here. York looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kakashi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kakashi wants to pass to mount but York is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kakashi wants to take a breather but York is having none of it. York is looking to escape. York kicks off Kakashi and gets to his feet. York tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kakashi was well out of range. Poor timing from York. Kip York seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from York. Kakashi does a little dance to reset his feet. Kip York is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kakashi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kakashi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and York has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. York tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kakashi paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kakashi misses the shot to the body. York was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Kakashi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kakashi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kakashi swings for the body but York moves out of range.
Kakashi avoids the head kick by York.
York misses with a few strikes there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. York takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. York takes one to the chin there. This has been an exciting period of action! York lands with an uppercut that bounces Kakashi off the cage and back into range. York throws a head kick but Kakashi moves out of range.
Kakashi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but York defends it well. York is breathing heavily. Kakashi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. York throws a poor cross that misses
and Kakashi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kakashi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kakashi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. York is trying to defend but Kakashi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kakashi in particular looking to stall. Kakashi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kakashi uses his free foot to push down on York's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for York. Kakashi has isolated one of York's arms. York looking to fight him off but Kakashi twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Hatake Kakashi! Hatake Kakashi was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
