Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helen Salvacion (ranked 24758 p4p, 7048 weight class) and Virgin Mary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgin Mary! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mary tries for a takedown but Salvacion sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mary throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salvacion's waist but Salvacion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mary off to one side. Salvacion quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Mary shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Salvacion napping and manages to drive through into side control! Salvacion is trying to control Mary's posture but Mary avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion being controlled for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion tries to buck Mary off but Mary is having none of it. Mary wants to stand but Salvacion has his arm trapped. Mary has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Salvacion fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mary is trying to counter with his kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Salvacion gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mary to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mary tries to stand but Salvacion is controlling from the bottom. Mary is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Let's hope that Mary has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Salvacion can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mary controls the pace. Salvacion tries to strike from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Salvacion dives in for a single leg takedown but Mary sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mary steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Salvacion has Mary pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mary manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helen Salvacion. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mary breaks the clinch.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mary shoots in and bounces Salvacion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mary throws a big right hand that misses. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Virgin Mary dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Salvacion throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mary's waist but Mary gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salvacion off to one side. Salvacion feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mary is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Salvacion presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Mary pulls guard successfully.
Mary scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Salvacion tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mary sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Salvacion somewhat. Mary let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion goes for a double leg but Mary avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mary continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Helen Salvacion. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mary's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mary shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mary was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Virgin Mary has got the better of the ground game so far. Mary stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mary throws a big counter head kick but Salvacion avoids it with no problem. Mary dives in and grabs Salvacion's left leg, looking for a takedown. Salvacion pushes down on Mary's head and hops out. Salvacion fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mary replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it well. Salvacion darts in looking for a takedown but Mary gets double underhooks and turns Salvacion into the cage. Mary throws a counter combo. Mary has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mary's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mary sprawls well. Mary wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Salvacion gets slowly back to his feet. Salvacion fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mary shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salvacion defends it nicely. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Mary shows good takedown defense. Salvacion shoots for a takedown but Mary saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Salvacion looks for a takedown but Mary sprawls well. A nice side step and Mary releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Virgin Mary showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Salvacion with a poor takedown and Mary counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Mary closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Salvacion did well to prevent Mary getting side control. Salvacion tries to kick Mary off in order to stand up. Mary Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Mary controlling from side mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mary stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion gets off balance looking for a body kick and Mary counters with a body kick that stops Salvacion in his tracks momentarily. Mary shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mary was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A lull in the action here as Mary stalls from top position. Salvacion tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mary stands up and we're back to a striking position. Salvacion leaves Mary with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Salvacion shoots in for a double leg but Mary sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mary replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it well. Mary is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Salvacion's half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Mary. Mary content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Mary engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Mary being controlled here momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Salvacion has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Helen Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Virgin Mary is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mary slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! Virgin Mary comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mary has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
