Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Butcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Butcher! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Butcher wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Anderson has him pressed against the cage. Butcher avoiding damage as Anderson throws knees to the body.

Butcher has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Anderson uses from the top position. Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Butcher is retaining full guard. Anderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Butcher will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Butcher is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Anderson wants to get up but he can't break Butcher's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Anderson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Anderson digs a right hand underneath Butcher's ribcage. Butcher let out a lung full of air as it connected. Anderson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Anderson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Butcher tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Anderson looking to isolate an arm here. Butcher doesn't see it coming and as Anderson extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Anderson!
