Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Peter Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gally Sorbet!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young tries to clinch up but Sorbet circles away and keeps his distance.

and Sorbet counters with a shoot takedown. Young fights it but they end up in guard.
Sorbet sitting in guard here, content to control.
Young avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sorbet engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Let's hope that Sorbet has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Young can't keep his opponent in guard - Sorbet advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Sorbet is working for a kimura but Young is defending it quite comfortably.
Sorbet perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Sorbet wants to pass the guard but Young is defending well.

Young is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sorbet scores with a couple of nice shots.
Sorbet is taking a breather. Young says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Young is trying to stand up here but Sorbet is controlling him well.
Young is breathing heavily.
Sorbet with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Sorbet lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sorbet is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Sorbet is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sorbet in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Young tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sorbet!
