Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Clay (ranked 2486 p4p, 4861 weight class) and Bejamin Gold (ranked 342 p4p, 596 weight class). Andrew Clay has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrew Clay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bejamin Gold! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clay ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Clay misses with a body shot.
Gold throws a nice looking combination but Clay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Clay throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gold misses with a few strikes there.

Gold throws a right and a left that Clay avoids nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gold scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Clay misses the jab. Clay avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gold swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Clay was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Clay is looking to wear down Gold with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Gold throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Clay misses with a looping right. Clay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gold moves away. Gold doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Bejamin Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gold misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Clay.
We've been informed that Gold has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We've been told by Clay's head coaches at Fenrir MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. A slow jab from Clay misses its intended target. Gold swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Clay fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Clay bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gold's head backwards. Clay listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Bejamin Gold has been cut. Bejamin Gold is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gold ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clay moves away. It looked like Clay was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gold. Clay moves out of range of the strikes. A combination from Gold does no damage. Clay swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Gold misses with a hook to the body

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gold defending well as Clay loads up on a big left hand. Gold rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Clay moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Gold throws a nice looking combination but Clay bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gold loads up on a big right hand but Clay slips the punch. It looked like Clay wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Gold avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gold misses the shot to the body. A combination from Gold does no damage. Gold throws a combination that misses and Clay counters with a lovely shot to the body. Clay misses with an uppercut. Gold saw that one coming. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Clay avoids the body shot from Gold.
Gold looks to land a combination but Clay avoids it well. Gold throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A close round but Bejamin Gold will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Clay misses with an uppercut. Clay connects with a body shot that sends Gold's belly button to the back. Clay uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gold. Clay throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gold on the side of the head. Gold throws the left hand but Clay avoids the punch easily. Gold drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Clay misses with a wild body shot. Clay connects with a looping right hand.

A quick step to the side and Clay tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Clay connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Gold lands with a right hand. Gold closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Gold throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Clay connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A swing and a miss from Clay. Gold digs a good hook to Clay's body.
Gold swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Clay counters with a lovely shot to the body. Clay swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gold fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Clay sizes up Gold with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Gold misses with a two punch combination.
Clay throwing a counter right hand but Gold manages to avoid it. Clay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gold tries to kick Clay off but Clay keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gold really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Clay working over Gold with some ground and pound. Gold looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Clay is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gold looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Clay is working for a submission of some sort.
Clay tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gold knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Clay slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gold pushes Clay off looking to stand but Clay dives back in and keeps control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Clay not doing much here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Gold is not content to let Clay control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Gold misses with a combination
and Clay counters with a nice uppercut. Clay stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bejamin Gold is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gold moves out of range of the strikes. As Clay backs off Gold throws a huge counter combo but Clay manages to avoid it all. Gold falls off balance throwing a combination
and Clay cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That has opened up Bejamin Gold's cut even more. Gold digs a good hook to Clay's body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Clay dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Gold lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Clay circles away quickly and effectively. Gold throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Gold takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gold is rocked! Gold falls off balance throwing a combination
and Clay counters with a huge left! Gold is in big trouble! He's backing up but Clay isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Gold from any more damage. A dominating finish by Clay!
