Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wade Giles (ranked 1261 p4p, 1489 weight class) and Jose Rivelino Atunes (ranked 164 p4p, 186 weight class). Jose Rivelino Atunes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wade Giles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Rivelino Atunes ! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Giles drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Giles misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Atunes is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Atunes manages to get back to half guard. Giles looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Giles postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Atunes throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
