Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Mack (ranked 1210 p4p, 1392 weight class) and Minoari Amida (ranked 176 p4p, 205 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyrone Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Minoari Amida!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mack blocks a head kick by Amida.
Amida throws a jab but it's blocked by Mack.

Mack dives in and scores a takedown into Amida's guard.
Mack wants to control from the top but Amida keeps moving.
Mack working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Amida told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Mack missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mack trying to control but Amida is working from the bottom.
Amida has Mack pulled in close to control his posture.
Mack keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Amida's head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mack accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mack stops Amida from standing up.

Amida looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mack is one step ahead there.
Mack wants to control from the top but Amida keeps moving.
Amida seems keen to control Mack's posture.
Mack in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Amida is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Mack throws a big right hand that misses.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Mack lands a couple of elbows.

Mack controls from within his opponent's guard.
Amida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mack wants to control from the top but Amida keeps moving.

Mack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Amida can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mack controls the pace.
Mack postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Amida is on top in guard.

Amida seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Amida doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Amida manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mack lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Amida throws a sloppy head kick and Mack moves out of range easily.

Amida throws a quick inside leg kick.
Amida throws a hook but Mack blocks it.
Mack tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Amida manages to circle out of the way.

and Mack counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Mack drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mack jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mack tries to free his leg and advance position but Amida is retaining full guard.
Mack looking to sit in guard and control but Amida gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mack is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mack can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Amida controls the pace.

Mack escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Amida gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mack slips a straight right by Amida.
A slow jab from Amida misses its intended target.
Mack moves out of range of the body kick from Amida.
Mack changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amida throws a hook but Mack avoids it easily.
Mack swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Minoari Amida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Amida walks into a left hand.
Amida misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mack.
Amida connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Mack throws a right hand that misses
and Mack takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Amida throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mack.
Amida misses with a looping left.

Amida closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Amida throws a head kick but Mack moves out of range.
Mack is looking to counter the offense by Amida and move into the clinch.
Mack feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Amidas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Mack uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Amida.
Amida throws a head kick that misses.
Mack changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Mack blocks a jab.
It looked like Mack wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Mack staying out of range there.
Mack half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Amida walks into a stiff left hand from Mack.
Minoari Amida seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Amida throws a hook to the side of Mack's head but Mack sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mack throwing a counter right hand but Amida manages to avoid it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Amida throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Mack to counter with a crisp jab.
Amida might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mack throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mack avoids the head kick by Amida.
Mack wants to clinch up but Amida keeps it at a distance.
Amida misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mack appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Amida throws a series of punches but Mack moves out of range.
Mack was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Mack walks forward, straight into a front kick from Amida.

Amida throws a sloppy head kick and Mack moves out of range easily.
Mack is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Amida.
Amida throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mack's head.
Amida throws a hook to the side of Mack's head but Mack sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Amida lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Amida throws a looping overhand right but Mack ducks down to avoid it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Minoari Amida comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Amida has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
