Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hafir Dharris (ranked 2441 p4p, 3035 weight class) and Robert Gracie (ranked 335 p4p, 397 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hafir Dharris !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dharris gets a clinch.
Gracie tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dharris stops a takedown attempt from Gracie.
Dharris 's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Dharris gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Dharris from controlling successfully.
We've been hearing that Dharris has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Dharris throws an elbow that misses. Gracie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dharris 's guard. Nice move by Gracie!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dharris looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Dharris wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gracie stands and throws Dharris 's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dharris is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dharris gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Dharris is controlling Gracie's trapped leg to prevent Gracie from advancing to side control.
Dharris manages to get to full guard.

Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Dharris has wrist control.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Dharris shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Dharris .
Gracie's coach down at Puncher's Chance Collective was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gracie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hafir Dharris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Gracie.

Gracie moves into the clinch successfully.

Dharris turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Dharris sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Gracie is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
You can see the frustration on Gracie's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dharris displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gracie.

Dharris gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Hafir Dharris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dharris seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gracie for as long as he can get away with.

Dharris tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.

Dharris lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Dharris postures up and lands a big shot to Gracie's brow.

Gracie can't keep his opponent in guard - Dharris advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Gracie is looking for a sweep. Dharris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dharris is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Dharris stalling away here and it's allowed Gracie to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Dharris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dharris cracks Gracie with a solid left hand.
Dharris landing with the ground and pound.
Gracie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Dharris avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dharris 's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Gracie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dharris controls the pace.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dharris as he avoids it easily.
Dharris attempts a counter takedown but Gracie avoids it well and moves away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.

Gracie closes the distance and clinches.
Dharris prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hafir Dharris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Gracie.

Gracie wants to take the fight to the mat but Dharris manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Dharris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dharris cracks Gracie with a big right hand but Gracie just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dharris is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Gracie is still in real trouble! Can Dharris finish him?
Gracie seems to have recovered his senses.
Gracie is trying to control Dharris 's posture but Dharris avoids it.
Dharris controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie can't do much from the bottom here.
Dharris happy to just control the position for now.

Dharris 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dharris is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gracie will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dharris dives in and grabs Gracie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes down on Dharris 's head and hops out.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dharris as he jumps to the side.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Dharris sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dharris shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Dharris drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.
Dharris prevents the takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dharris gets underhooks to prevent Gracie's takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hafir Dharris showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Dharris has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
