Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Martins (ranked 4130 p4p, 6500 weight class) and Omari Apinagewanwa (ranked 474 p4p, 589 weight class). Apinagewanwa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Maurice A God - Lottery. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Omari Apinagewanwa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Omari Apinagewanwa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Apinagewanwa finds it's target.
Apinagewanwa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Martins appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Omari Apinagewanwa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Martins.
Apinagewanwa looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Apinagewanwa works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Martins takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
We've been told by Martins's head coaches at Alpha Brasil that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Martins seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Apinagewanwa throws an overhand right that lands on Martins's shoulder, as Martins tries to avoid the shot.

Apinagewanwa misses with a hook. Martins ducked under it nicely.

Apinagewanwa lands a glancing blow to the side of Martins's head.
Martins misses with the combination.
Apinagewanwa tries to clinch but Martins is having none of it.
Martins tries to counter by clinching up but Apinagewanwa breaks away and moves out of range.
Apinagewanwa throws out a loose jab but Martins uses good head movement to avoid it.
Apinagewanwa misses the body punch
and Martins counters with a one-two to the body.
Martins connects with a nice looking jab.
Anderson Martins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Martins scores with a one two! Apinagewanwa had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Apinagewanwa might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Martins misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Apinagewanwa swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Martins gets in close and tags Apinagewanwa with a short punch that almost sends Apinagewanwa to the mat! Oh Apinagewanwa is in big trouble! He turns his back on Martins, trying to create some distance but Martins rushes him, striking wildly and Apinagewanwa goes down! The referee tackles Martins into the cage to end the fight! Martins is one violent man!
