A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez throws a low kick but Wagner moves out of range easily.
Alvarez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wagner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alvarez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Wagner wants to control but Alvarez is keeping busy.
Alvarez wants to stand up but Wagner has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Alvarez wants to work for an arm triangle but Wagner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvarez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Wagner is looking to improve his position.

Alvarez is looking to take a break and control but Wagner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Alvarez wants to control from the top but Wagner keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wagner lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Wagner is pushing down on Alvarez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Alvarez is fighting to maintain full guard but Wagner has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wagner has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Alvarez defend it? Wagner steps over the head and cranks it - Alvarez is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Wagner!
