Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Haggar!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haggar missing with a left hand there. Sasaki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sasaki throws a body punch but Haggar moves out of range.
Haggar scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Haggar has managed to clinch.
Haggar's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Haggar swings wildly with an uppercut but Sasaki uses good head movement to avoid it.
Haggar throws a punch but it's blocked by Sasaki .
Sasaki pushes off an throws an elbow but Haggar leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Haggar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sasaki lands an elbow that stopped Haggar in his tracks for a moment.
Sasaki tries to work over Haggar's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Sasaki throws an elbow but it misses.
Haggar takes a shot to the head.

Haggar misses with a hook from the clinch.
Haggar tries a body shot but Sasaki blocks it.
Haggar lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Haggar jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sasaki walks away with a smile on his face. Haggar gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sasaki throws out a loose jab but Haggar uses good head movement to avoid it.

Haggar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Haise Sasaki has been cut.
Haggar avoids the head kick by Sasaki .
Haggar cracks Sasaki with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Sasaki takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sasaki takes a swing at Haggar's ribcage but misses.

Haggar jabs Sasaki right on the nose. Sasaki blinks but takes it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Haggar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sasaki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Haggar cracks Sasaki with a solid left hand.

Haggar lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Sasaki fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sasaki throws the left hand but Haggar avoids the punch easily.
Haggar tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Nice shot lands for Sasaki .

It looks like Mike Haggar has been cut.
Sasaki throws a looping overhand right but Haggar ducks down to avoid it.
We've been told by Sasaki 's head coaches at Brooklyn Mixed Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Haggar misses with a left hand
and Sasaki counters with a nice uppercut.
Haggar lands with a right hand.
Haggar tests Sasaki 's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sasaki pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sasaki lands a big head kick that sends Haggar tumbling to the mat! Sasaki takes a step backwards and waves Haggar back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Haggar is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sasaki connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Haggar covering up! Sasaki comes in with a big uppercut and Haggar goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Haise Sasaki !
Haise Sasaki really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brooklyn Apothecary logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
