This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Samuel Turbitt! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Jimmy Doyle!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Richard Clark.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Doyle moves into the clinch.

Doyle has hold of one of Turbitt's legs. Turbitt is fighting the takedown attempt but Doyle gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Turbitt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Doyle defends it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Turbitt's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Turbitt is trying to control the position but Doyle postures up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Turbitt holds on and takes a little breather.
Turbitt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Doyle's guard.

Turbitt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Doyle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
