Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eerikki Salmi (ranked 3281 p4p, 1590 weight class) and Eric Dungey (ranked 419 p4p, 229 weight class). Salmi comes to the cage accompanied by Korpiklaani - Ievan Polkka . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Dungey!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salmi misses with a left hand
and Dungey counters with a straight right hand.
Salmi misses with a hook
and Dungey counters with a slapping leg kick.
Salmi getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Eerikki Salmi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salmi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dungey blocks a jab.
A little jabbing left from Dungey on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Dungey has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Salmi finds it's way round the side to connect with Dungey's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dungey throws a shot from downtown. Salmi moves away and avoids it.
Salmi throws a hook but Dungey avoids it easily.
Salmi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Salmi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dungey ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Dungey lands a big right hand that sends Salmi crashing to the mat! Dungey stays standing though and waves Salmi back to his feet!
It looks like Eerikki Salmi has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salmi swings for the body but Dungey moves out of range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Dungey.
Salmi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dungey counters with a crisp right that sends Salmi to the canvas! Dungey follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Dungey!
After winning the bout, Eric Dungey thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
