Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Davis (ranked 24480 p4p, 24068 weight class) and Gustav King (ranked 690 p4p, 689 weight class). Chad Davis looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a big shot that misses.
King lands a leg kick that knocks Davis off balance momentarily.
King scores with a jab to the body.
King works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

King lands with a shot to the body.
King cracks a nice hook into Davis's ribs.

Davis is breathing heavily.
Davis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

King fakes the leg kick and cracks Davis in the body.
Davis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Chad Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
King scores with a head kick. Davis tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
King fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Davis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

We've been hearing reports that Davis has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Davis is rocked!
King lands with a straight right. Davis didn't see that one coming.
Oh Davis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
King is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
A head kick misses from Davis.
King lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Davis out cold! Davis is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!

In his post fight interview, Gustav King started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
