Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kong (ranked 3513 p4p, 4206 weight class) and James Fury (ranked 410 p4p, 468 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to X Gonna Give it To ya. Fury is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Astronaut in the ocean. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
David Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kong misses with a straight right.

Fury drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Kong throws Fury to one side and escapes!
Fury throws a right and a left that Kong avoids nicely.

Kong is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Fury.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fury throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like David Kong has been cut.
A nice combination there by Kong.
Some wild striking there from Kong.

Kong gets caught flat footed, as Fury shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fury controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Fury thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fury trying to control but Kong is working from the bottom.
Kong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fury on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kong is on top in guard.

Kong not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kong throws an elbow that misses. Fury uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kong's guard. Nice move by Fury!

Fury works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Fury seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kong is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). James Fury!
James Fury really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fight Club Clothing & Laundry 20% logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
