Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brodie Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miller Salazar!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Salazar tries to keep at a distance but Lee has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lee prevents a takedown attempt there.
Lee goes for a takedown in the clinch but Salazar prevents it.
Salazar stalling in the clinch but Lee improves position.
Salazar tries a knee to the head but Lee blocks it.

Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Salazar tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Lee counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee won't allow Salazar to sweep him here.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Salazar is looking to sweep but instead, Lee has passed into half guard.
Lee moves nicely into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lee cracks Salazar with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Lee controls the position.
Salazar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lee decides to stand back up. Lee steps back and let's Salazar get back to his feet.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Salazar - that will leave a mark!
Nice body kick there by Salazar.

Salazar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lee's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Lee gets to his feet - Salazar follows without any prompting.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lee clinches with his opponent.
Lee is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Lee is trying to push Salazar away but Salazar has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lee is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Lee is trying to trip Salazar. He has hold of a leg but Salazar is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lee persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Lee preventing the sweep.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Brodie Lee dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lee closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Salazar quickly recovers to half guard.
Salazar is trying to escape back to his feet but Lee uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Salazar wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Lee has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Salazar's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Salazar is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Lee!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Brodie Lee!
