The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Tetsuo closes the distance and clinches.
Cold tries for a takedown. No joy.
Cold looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cold is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tetsuo is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tetsuo wants the takedown. Cold is fighting it off but Tetsuo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cold's guard against the ropes.

Tetsuo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Tetsuo wants to improve his position but Cold is controlling well.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Cold is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Tetsuo is trying to control but can't.

Tetsuo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cold is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tetsuo is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Tetsuo is staying active underneath Cold, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
