This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 2 losses; Atanase Teodor! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Jesus Chico Grande!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.

Grande closes the distance and clinches.
Grande has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Teodor uses from the top position.
Teodor controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Teodor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grande swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Grande is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Grande can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Teodor controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Teodor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grande's guard.

Grande wants to control but Teodor is keeping busy.
Teodor working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Grande's thigh. Grande counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Grande stops Teodor from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Teodor is looking to work his way around to Grande's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Teodor seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Grande is holding on tight.
Teodor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Teodor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Teodor wants to control the pace but Grande is squirming around nicely.

Teodor's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
