This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 5 losses; Dez Havok! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Ron Roy!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Roy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Havok napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Havok is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Roy is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Havok is trying to improve his position.
Havok trying to remain calm as Roy controls from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Havok is looking for a sweep.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Havok tries to bench press Roy off him but Roy keeps the position.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Roy tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Roy tries to move into full mount but can't pass Havok's legs.
Havok has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
You can see the frustration on Havok's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Havok is looking to get to half guard.
Havok is trying to reverse the position but instead Roy has taken his back - oops!

Roy has the hooks in. Havok is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Roy biding his time, looking for the opening.
Let's hope that Roy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Roy controls the action.
It looks like Roy might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Havok is in bad spot here.
Roy biding his time, controlling Havok.

Roy controlling well, preventing Havok from escaping the position.

Roy trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Havok doesn't escape.
Roy is continuing to stall.
Roy avoiding Havok 's attempts to control his hands.

Roy has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Havok's body.

Roy is riding his opponent, not letting Havok buck him off.

You can see the frustration on Havok's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Well,Havok is on his way to losing a decision here. Can he use his experience to pull something off in the closing minutes?

Havok is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Roy.
Havok rolls, trying to escape but Roy keeps control of the position.
Roy controlling the position well here. Havok rolled but Roy kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Roy is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Havok has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Roy really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Havok.

And that's the end of the fight!
