Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hayato Sakuraba (ranked 2286 p4p, 1261 weight class) and Enzo Williams (ranked 346 p4p, 188 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hayato Sakuraba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Enzo Williams! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams connects with a body shot that sends Sakuraba's belly button to the back. Williams throws a body punch but Sakuraba moves out of range. Sakuraba drops down looking for a counter takedown but Williams sprawls and moves away. Sakuraba displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Williams. Sakuraba changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Sakuraba bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sakuraba appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Sakuraba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williams.

and Sakuraba counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Williams! Sakuraba trying to control the action but Williams is working from the bottom. Sakuraba has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Williams tries to bench press Sakuraba off him but Sakuraba keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakuraba creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Williams sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Williams dodges the ground and pound from Sakuraba. Sakuraba cracks Williams with an elbow. That is naaassty. Sakuraba controlling from side mount. Sakuraba working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Williams prevents Sakuraba from moving into mount. Sakuraba grinds an elbow into Williams's temple. Sakuraba working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Sakuraba throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The strikes coming from Sakuraba are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Williams is trying to get back to half guard.

Williams taking a bit of punishment here - Sakuraba scoring with strikes. Sakuraba wants to control but Williams is keeping him busy. Sakuraba works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Sakuraba thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sakuraba wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams gets back to half guard. Sakuraba trying to control from Williams's half guard. Williams has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Sakuraba is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Sakuraba passes Williams's left leg - he's now in half guard. Williams on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sakuraba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sakuraba working over Williams with some ground and pound. Williams looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Williams is rocked! Sakuraba seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Williams is still in real trouble! Can Sakuraba finish him?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sakuraba is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Williams is just riding it out for now. Sakuraba eventually gives up the hold. Sakuraba takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sakuraba lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Williams quite badly. Williams pulls Sakuraba in close trying to recover. Sakuraba postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Williams on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Williams doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hayato Sakuraba!
