Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leon Leites (ranked 3183 p4p, 3193 weight class) and Micah Spinks (ranked 187 p4p, 189 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Micah Spinks!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spinks moves into range and clinches up with Leites.

Leites jumps guard.
Spinks wanted to stand there but Leites had control of the position.
Spinks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Leites swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spinks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Spinks would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spinks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leites. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
