Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Basit Ali (ranked 4927 p4p, 24845 weight class) and Leon Bowser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Basit Ali! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leon Bowser! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ali closes the distance and clinches up with Bowser, looking for a takedown. Ali pushes Bowser against the cage but Bowser circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ali throws a body kick that misses. Bowser avoids the head kick by Ali.
A cross from Bowser lands. Bowser lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ali circles away quickly and effectively. Bowser circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ali has a takedown stuffed. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bowser! But no joy. Ali rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bowser moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bowser connects with a looping right hand.
Bowser is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ali clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ali drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bowser gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Basit Ali. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ali is trying to pull guard but Bowser has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ali ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ali no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Bowser is looking to pass into half guard but Ali pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ali is in guard. Ali throws a big right hand that misses. Ali avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bowser is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ali is controlling him. Ali wants to control from the top but Bowser keeps moving. Bowser wants to get back to his feet but Ali is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bowser is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ali defends well. Ali prevents Bowser from getting back to his feet. Bowser looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Bowser working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ali doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ali manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ali works a leg free and moves into half guard. Bowser is looking for a sweep. Ali is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ali could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ali is working for a kimura but Bowser is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ali decides to stand up. A cross from Bowser lands. Ali misses with a takedown attempt - Bowser sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A jab lands there for Bowser. Ali shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bowser as he avoids it easily. Ali rushes Bowser and presses him up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bowser slowing the pace effectively. Bowser breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leon Bowser is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bowser getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bowser tests Ali's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bowser throws a combination. Ali tries to block but a couple of punches get through. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ali with a lazy takedown attempt and Bowser counters with a straight right hand. Bowser displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ali. Bowser lands with an overhand left. Bowser scores with a jab to the jaw. Ali rushes Bowser and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Leon Bowser dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ali misses with a body kick. Bowser lands with a right hand. Bowser throws a big shot that misses. Ali appears to be looking for a big counter. Basit Ali is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bowser stuffs the takedown attempt from Ali. Ali gets slowly back to his feet. Bowser has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Ali tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bowser paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bowser lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ali doesn't manage to clinch there - Bowser circles away.
Bowser tests Ali's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bowser scores with a sloppy right hand. Ali should have avoided that one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A combination from Bowser does no damage. Bowser throws a series of punches but Ali moves out of range. Bowser swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bowser lands with a straight right. Ali didn't see that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ali looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ali throws a wild body kick that Bowser sees coming a mile off. Jab, jab by Bowser - just one landing. Bowser takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Bowser with a nice cross. Bowser jabs Ali to the body, keeping him at a distance. Ali shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bowser as he avoids it easily. Bowser swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Basit Ali. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bowser misses with a wild body shot. Leon Bowser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bowser digs a good hook to Ali's body.
Ali fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ali avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bowser has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Bowser. Bowser lands a glancing blow to the side of Ali's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ali has a takedown stuffed. Bowser takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Bowser scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ali shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Bowser lands a nice shot that snaps Ali's head back.
Ali is rocked! Bowser lands a jab to the head.
Oh Ali is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ali looks up at the clock. Bad move! Bowser lands a right hand from hell, dropping Ali. Bowser pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leon Bowser!
