Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Marciano Cobb (ranked 969 p4p, 2350 weight class) and Jeff Johnson (ranked 141 p4p, 362 weight class). Cobb comes to the ring accompanied by Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A.. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marciano Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeff Johnson!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cobb in his tracks.
Cobb fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Cobb lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.
Cobb jabs at Johnson's body.

Cobb has managed to clinch.
Cobb tries a knee to the head but Johnson blocks it.
Cobb landing knees to the head.
Johnson is trying to push Cobb away but Cobb has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Cobb lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Johnson wants to get back to striking at distance but Cobb won't allow it.
Cobb tries a body shot but Johnson blocks it.
Cobb misses with a knee to the head.
Cobb lands a hook that snaps the head of Johnson backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cobb scores with a hook to the body.
Johnson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cobb has him pressed against the ropes.

Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cobb misses with a hook
and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Johnson drops his hands momentarily and Cobb takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Johnson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Johnson is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Johnson lands with a cross.

Cobb drives through and clinches with Johnson against the ropes.
I was talking to Cobb's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Cobb has him pressed against the ropes.
Cobb lands with a short shot to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cobb.
Cobb misses with some punches.
Cobb gets through Johnson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cobb uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Johnson.
Johnson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Johnson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Cobb throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Johnson tries to keep at a distance but Cobb has taken the fight into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Still in the clinch, Cobb scores with a nice short uppercut.
Cobb lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Johnson or not.
Johnson looks winded!
Johnson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Cobb manages to break the clinch.
Cobb connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Johnson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Johnson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Cobb. That one must have hurt.
Cobb stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cobb lands a jab-cross combination.

Johnson is rocked!
Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cobb fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson throws out a counter right but Cobb avoids it with no problem.
Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cobb moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Good leg kick by Cobb.
Cobb lands a jab.
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Cobb finish him?

Cobb clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the ropes.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Johnson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cobb is controlling Johnson's neck. Cobb unleashes a big knee up the middle! And another! Johnson goes down! Can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6... he's not going to make it! 9,10. It's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Marciano Cobb!
A less than humble Marciano Cobb misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
