Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carcarah Catartes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Bogo!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catartes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Bogo forces Catartes back against the cage and clinches.
Catartes lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Bogo lands a right hand.
Catartes is pressed up against the cage. Bogo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Catartes down to the mat. Catartes avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bogo tries for a takedown but Catartes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bogo takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bogo fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Catartes darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bogo has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Bogo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Bogo fails with a takedown attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Catartes on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Carcarah Catartes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Bogo.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bogo shoots in for a double leg but Catartes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Catartes throwing a counter right hand but Bogo manages to avoid it.
Carcarah Catartes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Catartes throws a leg kick but Bogo checks it.
Bogo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Catartes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bogo circles away quickly and effectively.
Catartes throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bogo moves into the clinch.
Catartes misses with a body punch.
Bogo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Catartes smiles and moves away.
Bogo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Catartes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bogo scrambles back to his feet.
Catartes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Catartes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bogo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bogo fails with the takedown
letting Catartes counter with a right hand.
Crunch! Catartes slams his shin into Bogo's torso.
Catartes scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bogo in his tracks.
Bogo is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Catartes is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Bogo flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Bogo is out cold! Catartes holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
